Education Spectrum is entirely about providing the most comprehensive approach to serving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. Today, ASD affects as many as 1 in every 166 children. Once considered rare, it is today, the fastest growing serious developmental disability in the United States. At the core of who we are is a team of dedicated professionals that will help you unravel the mysteries surrounding ASD in an environment of respect, compassion and understanding.

The services we provide support the whole autism equation. Using state-of-the-art behavioral and educational assessment tools and implementing innovative intervention strategies, our team will work with your team to develop real life solutions for your child and your family.

Who We Are — Philosophy & Mission

Since 1996, Education Spectrum has been developing and providing the most effective and targeted services possible for individuals with ASD to effect positive growth in their lives. For over 15 years, Education Spectrum has provided the highest quality services to children, adolescents, their families, educators and health care providers. Through our unique blend of individual, family and group programs, our goal is to foster their social, emotional, behavioral, communicative and learning

potential by implementing specifically tailored intervention techniques. We believe that individuals with autism spectrum disorders make the most progress when approached with respect, compassion and a true understanding of their needs.

Who We Serve

Education Spectrum serves children between the ages of 2 and 18, plus young adults up to the age of 25. The services we provide extend to families, school districts and health care providers throughout all of Southern California but are not region specific. Our staff has outreached our services both nationally and internationally and welcome the opportunity to provide our exemplary services to individuals and families wherever they live. In addition, we work with individuals with other disabilities including Down Syndrome, emotional and learning issues and developmental delays.

Education Spectrum is vendored through Regional Center for many of our programs. Treatment may also be covered by your private health insurance provider and we encourage you to contact them to discuss coverage available.

What is Autism?

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) can be difficult to understand and encompass a wide range of disorders that vary from mild to severe. As a parent of a child or young adult who displays evidence of one of the Autism Spectrum Disorders, you will want help in understanding these. Children with ASD have challenges in three main developmental areas:

Delayed or deviant language development
Disinterest in other people and / or
poor social skills
Rigid, repetitive, behaviors that are
difficult to change

There are three main diagnoses that make up the Autism Spectrum:

Classical Autism
Asperger's Disorder
Pervasive Developmental Disorder-
Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
